Pastor Gary L. and Sue Howitt

Gary Howitt has been the pastor of McCook Baptist Church for 3 years. He and his wife, Sue, have been married 47 years and have three children, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Gary was ordained into the ministry at First Baptist church in Kimball, Nebraska in 1978. Since that time he has served the Lord in churches in Nebraska and Colorado.

His passion and purpose in the ministry is to preach the Gospel, see souls saved and see saints “grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

His life verse is - I Corinthians 9:16 “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel.”
