What We Believe
-
Creation
God created the heavens and the earth and everything within in six 24 hour days. He did this by speaking everything into existence and God’s power holds everything together.
Genesis 1 -2; Psalms 33:6; Isaiah 48:13; Colossians 1:16-17
-
Scriptures
The Bible is the inspired plenary Word of God. The Holy Spirit gave individual men the exact words to write down. The Bible is without error. Scripture is a believer’s sole authority for faith and practice.
II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21; Isaiah 40:8; I Peter 1:25; Matthew 5:18, 24:35
-
Man
Man was created in the image of God. Because of Adam’s sin, man is born with a sin nature in need of a Savior. Man will not only die physically but will also die spiritually (being separated from God for all eternity) if he has not accepted Christ as his personal Savior.
Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12; Hebrews 9:27; Luke 16:19-31; Romans 3:10-13
-
Trinity
The trinity is three persons (God the Father, Jesus Christ - God the Son, and the Holy Spirit) in one.
Genesis 1:26; 1:1; Matthew 28:19; I Corinthians 8:6
-
God
the Father
God has always existed. He is the only true God. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, holy, righteous, a spirit, omnipresent, sovereign, merciful, gracious, and immutable. Although God is compassionate, His holy nature demands a perfect sacrifice for sin.
James 1:17; Malachi 3:6; John 3:16; Luke 1:37; Psalms 115:3; Deuteronomy 4:39; John 4:24; Psalms 14:5, 17, 99:9; 108:4, Titus 2:11
-
Jesus
Christ, God the Son -
Christ is God in the flesh and is equal with God the Father. Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary, a virgin. Because of his sinless nature, Christ was able to meet God’s demand of a perfect sacrifice and willingly became man’s substitution sacrifice. Christ is all-powerful, all knowing, holy, righteous, compassionate, omnipresent, sovereign, merciful and immutable. Christ is man’s High Priest, advocate, mediator, and intercessor. After dying, Christ was buried and arose on the third day. He is now seated on the right hand of God, the Father, in heaven.
Hebrews 8:1, 7:25-27, 4:15; John 10:30, 16:5 & 30; Matthew 28:18; Luke 1:35; Galatians 4:4; Philippians 2:7, I Timothy 2:5; I John 2:2; Revelation 1:8; I Peter 2:21-24
-
Holy
Spirit -
The Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and Jesus Christ, therefore possess all of the attributes of God. The Holy Spirit draws men to Christ and convicts individuals of their sin. After a person accepts Christ as his/her personal Savior. The Holy Spirit indwells all believers. The Holy Spirit guides and teaches believers in the way of truth. The Holy Spirit also comforts and seals the believer.
Titus 3:5; Romans 8:26; John 16:8&13; Acts 1:8, 5:3-4; II Corinthians 3:18; Mark 13:11; I Corinthians 2:10, 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 3:16; I Peter 3:18; Ephesians 1:13, 4:30

Salvation
The Gospel is so simple that even a child can understand it. Salvation is a free gift offered by God. The Gospel is that Christ came, died for man’s sins, buried, and arose the third day. An individual first needs to realize that he/she is a sinner destined to be separated from God for all eternity in Hell. After admitting and repenting of his/her sin, he/she needs to realize that Christ died for his/her sins that Christ is the only person who can meet God’s demand of a perfect sacrifice, and the individual can not work his/her way to God. An individual then needs to put his/ her faith in Christ and him alone and ask Christ to be his/her personal Savior. Once a person accepts Christ as his/her personal Savior an individual is secure in Christ and will not lose his/her salvation.
Ephesians 2:8,9; I Corinthians 15:1-4; Isaiah 59:2; Luke 16:19-31; Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9013; II Peter 3:9; I John 5:14; John 28-29
-
Heaven
Heaven is a literal place where God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and angels dwell. Revelation 21 and 22 describe what the new Heaven and the new Earth will be like. Any person who has accepted Christ as his/her personal Savior, when he/she dies, his/her soul will immediately go to Heaven.
Luke 16:19-31
-
Hell
Hell is a literal place, originally created for Satan and his demons. Hell is a place of eternal fire, of misery, pain, thirst, remorse, and memory. Hell is also a place of eternal separation from God. Any individual who has not called upon Christ to be their Savior, if he/she dies, his/her soul will immediately go to hell and be separated from God for all eternity.
Revelation 20:11-15; Luke 16:19-31; Matthew 25:41, 3:12, 13:41
-
Sin
Sin originated with Satan (Lucifer) when Lucifer tried to usurp God’s authority. When Adam disobeyed God, sin was passed down to all individuals who are born into this world. The consequence of sin was physical and spiritual death, fellowship with God was broken, physical labor was introduced, and living organisms began to deteriorate. Sin dulls the ears, darkens the eyes, diverts the feet, defiles the tongue, deceives the heart, and leaves a person on bondage.
Isaiah 14:12-15, 59:2, 53:6; Genesis 3; Revelations 20:11-15; Acts 28:27; Ephesians 4:18; Romans 3:13-14; Jeremiah 17:9; I Corinthians 2:14; Ezekiel 18:4
-
Satan
Lucifer was an angel created by God. When Lucifer decided to usurp God’s authority, he was cast out of Heaven, taking with him a third of the angelic beings. From that moment forth, Satan’s goal is to destroy God’s plans as well as to deceive any individual from accepting Christ as his/her personal Savior and living an effective Christian life. Satan is the prince of this world. His work can be described with the many titles (deceiver, tempter, destroyer, prince of demons, slanderer, adversary, liar, murderer) that Scripture gives to him.
Luke 14:12-15, 13:16; John 12:31, 8:44; Revelation 9:11, 20:10, 12:10; Matthew 12:24, 13:39; I Thessalonians 3:5, 2:18; I Peter 5:8

Local
Church -
The local church consists of an organized group of born again, baptized believers who have come together to worship God, to edify one another, and to carry out the Great Commission. The local church is autonomous with Christ as the head, a pastor as the shepherd, and deacons to help the pastor. Within the church there are two ordinances, the Lord’s Supper and baptism. The church should not align with any organization, fellowship, or movement that would cause the church to lose it effectiveness for Christ or to compromise any Biblical truth.
Acts 2:41-47; Ephesians 1:22, 3:10, 5:23; Matthew 28:18-20; I Timothy 3; I Peter 5:1-3; Romans 16:17; I Corinthians 6:14-17; Jeremiah 23:4, 3:15
-
Ordinances
Baptism, by immersion, is the outward testimony that a person has accepted Christ as their personal Savior. By being baptized, they are saying that they are dying to self and desiring to live a life for Christ. Baptism is only for a born again believer. The Lord’s Supper should be partaken by baptized believers reflecting Christ finished work on the cross and looking forward to the day when Christ returns.
Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:41-47, 8:26-39; I Corinthians 11:23-28; Colossians 2:12
- Biblical
Separation
A believer should take the “higher ground”. Although a believer lives in this world, he/she shouldn’t be part of this world. A believer shouldn’t do anything that would cause another believer to stumble or that would
Bring reproach to the name of Christ. A believer shouldn’t be part of any organization, fellowship, or movement that would damage his/her testimony, his/her effectiveness for Christ, or compromise Biblical truths and principles.
Romans 14:13; I Corinthians 8:9-13, 10:31-33; II Corinthians 6:3; Philippians 1:10; Romans 16:17-18

Prophetic
Events -
Right now we are living in the church age. One day, Christ will come for the church (the Rapture). The dead in Christ will first be resurrected and the living believers will follow; both of them will meet Christ in the air. There will be seven years of Tribulation. The first three and half years will be years of peace and the last three and half years will be intense tribulation. While the Tribulation is taking place on earth, in Heaven, the Judgment Seat of Christ ( where Christ will judge each believers’ works) and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is taking place.
After the thousand year period. After the thousand years is up, Satan will be released from the bottomless pit, gather a group together, and will try to overthrow Christ on last time. The battle of Gog and Magog will take place where Christ will defeat Satan and Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire. The Great White Throne Judgment (where Christ will judge the unbelievers) will then take place. Then ETERNITY.
